The year of 2020 was fraught with challenges, both on and off track. Jenkins Racing attended four SCCA Divisional weekends and one Midwestern Council Charity Race that was paired with IMSA professional racing. At the end of the year the total tally of points placed us 12th in the CenDiv Champion Series Presented by TRO Manufacturing and C&P Installations.
The on-going pandemic caused one of our events to be cancelled, but the organizers did a great job to adapt to the situation and held high quality, safe events after the initial shutdowns. We are extra grateful to all the volunteers and organizers that kept the racing going during 2020.
The highlight of the season was undoubtedly the Midwestern Council Race to Save the Children. A charity race that got scheduled into the IMSA professional race at Road America on August 2nd. Over 50 Spec Miatas raced adjacent to the pros and raised several thousand dollars for the charity.
Closing out the season at Autobahn resulted in perfect weather and a great time with family and friends. Autobahn Country Club is truly a beautiful facility that every race fan should attend when in the Chicago area.
