Jenkins Racing’s first opportunity to test the car and collect some data after the winter hiatus. The testing took place at Blackhawk Farms Raceway in South Beloit, IL. A new pro built engine and Penske racing dampers took to the track on May 4th and 5th for a shakedown.
The focus of both Saturday and Sunday was to collect data and get the car up to race pace as quickly as possible.
The team got back into the groove quickly and the car did not have any major issues. Unfortunately it was soon found that we were not on pace with the leaders. Troubleshooting and investigation was needed.
At the end of the weekend the car was turned over to Advanced Autosport for dyno testing and optimization. Everything is ready for 2019 after some minor issues were corrected thanks to Advanced. Bring on the CenDiv Championship!
